Brilliant! We loved our dinner here! We were lucky to get a last minute booking whilst passing through Hobart - so glad we did!
The restaurant has a great vibe, small and intimate. And the staff were so welcoming and helpful (even gave us tips for where to go on our trip!). My dietary requirements were accommodated without a fuss and all the food was delicious. Great value and wonderful all round experience - highly recommend!
Our favourite restaurant in Hobart! The food was incredible, the two waitresses were so friendly, personable and welcoming. Could not fault the food, the atmosphere or the service. Will definitely come here again!
This place was a food highlight of Hobart. It’s a very small venue, and more than likely you will be sharing a table with others or seated somewhere that is frankly, awkward. Yet somehow, the food more than makes up for this. Understated, but clean, bright and tasty. I also think for what you’re getting, very fairly priced. Absolutely would recommend
Definitely an experience, and not a restaurant to go to if you want to get ‘full’. That being said, you don’t leave hungry either.
All the food was expertly created and presented as artwork. The wait service was attentive yet unobtrusive.
Interesting concept of a ‘set menu’ for each customer - of course variations are catered for, for any food intolerances or allergies.
Do not try and ‘walk in’, bookings are essential.
The only addition I would suggest is a change in the background music - and perhaps a ‘voice over’ or something to give us a knowledge of where the local produce had been sourced, or similar. Would create a good addition to what is an excellent and enjoyable venue for a special occasion.
Thank you, Templo for a great evening in Hobart.
An unbeatable unique Tasmanian dining experience - a must do! Make a booking, trust the chef and they’ll take care of the rest. Delish food prepared with love, incredible service and the best vibe. Thank you for having us, we will return over and over.
We booked this restaurant weeks in advance before our trip looking at the reviews and we were not let down. We had a wonderful 6 course dinner in a home dinner setting, where the chef whips out dishes that seems to change weekly based on produce and every single dish was simple but exceptional.
Ambience of this small restaurant is cozy, yet with a home dinner party charm with communal seating but that adds to the charm of this place. Not the most comfortable seating for a long dinner but couldn't care about it as we were enhoying our meal. Service by the two staff was quick, efficient and at point with a smile.
Great work team and would highly rate this for a unique dinner experience but with excellent cooking.
Intimate spot with a seating of 25.
My partner and I participated in Templos 4 course set menu for lunch, which we got to experience some of the best & unique taste of Tassies fresh produce.
Such a cute and chilled environment and staff were all so lovely and inviting!
Small servings for $95pp left a lot to be desired, especially considering the reviews and reputation. Gnocco fritto was delicious but the other entrees and mains unfortunately were not. Beef carpaccio, stracciatella and cucumbers were bland, Sacchetti filling required more salt and the pasta where it was folded on itself was undercooked. The king morwong was overcooked and therefore tough. Luckily the dessert was good and gives it the extra star. Overall, a disappointing experience for such a highly rated restaurant.
